...Every once in a while I think of George Michael and wish I were a man. "I don't think you'd do well in captivity." - random person's comment to me the other day

You can take a black guy to Nashville from right out of the cotton fields with bib overalls, and they will call him R&B. You can take a white guy in a pin-stripe suit who’s never seen a cotton field, and they will call him country. ~ O. B. McClinton

Lately I have been all about Wham! So i'm digging this thread. George Michael is so damn talented. The one thing I never noticed before is how funky Wham!'s music was. Their image was so bubblegum but the music was seriously funky. Is Andrew Ridgely this hardest working man is show biz? What exactly did he do?

Probably not a lot of people know this.....written by George Michael, Dutch singer Richenel (late 80's)...always loved this song

I would have been so into this thread a few years ago. Alas, my love for Wham! has faded even though I still believe that Ridgeley as a guitartist is just a notch below Eric Clapton. All good things they say never last...

GM wrote some damn fine songs, but there is something about him...it is probably the same thing that bugs people about Prince.
He's just a bit too dramatic & ridiculous. But the music is good, and speedo aside, this takes me back to the golden age of videos

Can't see a mention anywhere of the Wham track "Blue (Armed With Love)".
Choon !! Little? Yeah, right. It might be little but it's loud

Wham! - "Blue" (Live in China)
I didn't see the best track from Fantastic posted, so here it is:

A couple of unreleased tracks have surfaced lately
Disco Pieces (instrumental) Soul Boy (from the Fantastic sessions) Golden Soul (from the Fantastic or Make It Big sessions)
I'd love to see Fantastic, Make It Big, and The Final/Music From The Edge Of Heaven reissued with unreleased tracks "We may deify or demonize them but not ignore them. And we call them genius, because they are the people who change the world."
