Wow, I didn't realize things had been that bad for her.

Thanks for posting. I've always liked Sinead. But the British tabloid media sure exaggerates. I was expecting her to be huge. She's not that fat. Actually she looks like she's pregnant, not fat, but I guess some people gain weight in the stomach and not anywhere else. If she wore nicer clothes like a looser dress, no one would notice.

I like her earlier records that were in a more accessible pop/rock style. She lost me when she started doing weird Irish folk songs.

Sinead looks fine. The British press need to get off her clit. As long as she's taking care of her kids and getting away from people conflicting with her, it's all good.

God I hate it when artist get old, how dare they???? I look at Sinead and kd lang and think how could they betray me like that.

It's like looking at Prince or whoever. Age happens especially if it affects you in a certain way.

That first pic is horrible (bad lighting, angle) but the one below is aint all that bad and shows how nice the haircut suits her face. Reading the article I thought, ehhh, so she's going through what half the mother's in this world go through.

Poor girl she has had a rough life and made some mistakes, but the other pics aren't that bad really. As others where saying bad lighting & angle. Sinead is getting old and this is a normal part of it i think she will come through it.

On that note i really do love her music! she is so much more then just Nothing Compares 2 U

yeah it's not fair to compare someone to when they were 21, but the first picture is clearly the worst on they could find. The rest are really not so bad.

But everyone should go out and get a copy of Faith & Courage and see what Sinead has done other than Nothing Compares 2 U

well-said! She's done some amazing stuff over the years. "Faith & Courage" is a tremendously beautiful album. I liked some stuff on "Theology". And of course her first 2 albums are absolutely essential. Some other great tunes later on though... "empire", "fire on babylon", "you made me the thief of your heart" to name a few.

Exactly but that's the age-old double standards this crooked media has always played.

Wow - she looks really bad in that photo. It prompted me to look up a recent performance of NC2U and is was no bueno.

However, as GunsnHalen said above she used to be so much more than just this song

She made some great music and for a long time I thought did a great job of sticking to her guns regarding a lot of social and political issues. But the whole becomming a priest thing, quiting music, not quiting music and a few comments she made during that period led me to believe that maybe she isn't quite right in the melon. That's cool! None of us are perfect. And like I said, she made some great music that I will always love. But lets not kid ourselves, she has NOT aged well. Lifestyle (smoking and drinking? which she does), stress, whatever. She just doesn't really look like her younger self anymore, even in good pictures.

Also, a lot of her music wasn't exactly what you would call "happy" to begin with. This right here is one of my all-time favorite songs and all-time favorite remixes. I played this maxi cassette (which I still have) so much all the printing wore right off the tape.

Aww, she looks like most middle age women. It's just rite of passage kids. Midlife + crisis + beer-bellies + baldness + wrinkles + aches and pains. It's just something for all of you to look forward to.

I'm confident most of you all will be in her shoes soon enough if you are not already there.
