New Lenny Kravtiz w Jay Z Boongie Drop & w Drake Sunflower Lenny Kravitz will deliver his ninth studio album Black and White America on August 30 and the album's stand-out cut is the Jay-Z and DJ Military-featured "Boongie Drop." Stream the reggae-inspired dance number below. (via complex magazine)
Lenny Kravitz has decided to release “Sunflower,” which features Drake. Feeling “alright” & energized from the pure emotion of love, Lenny Kravitz vows to always be “right there” for his lover & keep her “secrets” safe. The track is anything but arid as neither Lenny nor Drake attempt to mimic the trendy music that is filling websites, televisions & radio stations on a daily basis with “Sunflower.” Neither artist seems to be sheepish as they express serene emotions that are sure to mentally & emotionally stimulate listeners. Drake opted to waylay on the track, providing Lenny Kravitz with an opportunity to vocally rendezvous his “one true love.”

The music is effervescent, almost reminiscent of '80s EWF. Lenny, as evidenced by the song, maintains his title as pop music's worst lyricist. Drake is as ubiquitous as Lil Wayne, and equally nonessential on the song. | |
