The Linn Drum was used on Sheila E

Prince eventually moved up to the Linn 9000 between the years of 1985 and 1987.

he never used Linn Drum on his own productions though.

Did he use an LM-2 (LinnDrum) on "Strange Relationship"? I have an LM-1 and an LM-2, and they definitely sound like LM-2 toms at the begining. (The LM-2 toms were "bouncier" than those on the LM-1. Compare the toms in "The Beautiful Ones" with those in the begining of Pat Benetar's "Love is a Battlefield" for example.) I've never owned a Linn 9000, so I don't know what it sounds like, so they could be Linn 9000 toms. Can someone who is familiar with both confirm if it was an LM-2 used on "Strange Relationship"?

Speaking of the Linn 9000, The Jets used that one for You Better Dance.
