This further proves that Gabriel is better.

I love some Gabriel but the comparison is pointless, unless your talking about vocally.

Bit of a letdown that Gabriel couldn't even be fucked to pick up an award with the group though a few years back. I mean fair enough he didn't want to do the last tour with them, but come on Pete, it's just an award?

What sense does this question make? If I didn't care about it, I wouldn't have posted it. I don't make threads about things I don't like, nor negative threads like "so and so sucks" or "Hooray, so and so flops!" like other people on this site. I don't see much of a point of bringing up stuff just to trash it. There's more positive ways to spend time. Music is there to make people happy and bring enjoyment, that is all. Whatever that is, more power to them. People who think they're "hip" and "cool" want to put down music that doesn't meet their supposed "superior taste". I like "You Light Up My Life" and proud of it. I don't believe in "guilty pleasures", only snobs use terms like that because they're ashamed and embarrased. I either like a song or I don't.

You can take a black guy to Nashville from right out of the cotton fields with bib overalls, and they will call him R&B. You can take a white guy in a pin-stripe suit who’s never seen a cotton field, and they will call him country. ~ O. B. McClinton

I remember being about 3 and have a faded memory of liking the song when it was on tv and hearing it on the radio. I forgot all about it till I heard it again on the radio again in 2006.

wink I feel ya, but sometimes bringing up stuff to trash it is fun , lol

I said that because I've always thought that people proudly say that Sussudio is one of the worst songs he eved did, I mean, for me, this was when Phil finally embraced cheese with open arms...and as I've said is one of the worst songs of the album of the same name...

Who's "people"? It's not worst to me, and I don't know what cheese means, except something made from milk.

is that so...? I rather think there is good reason, that the Definitve Gabriel collection is called "Hit" and not "Hits" razz

The Compromise Theory:
Based on my analysis, I believe the government faked the plane crash and demolished the WTC North Tower with explosives.
The South Tower, in a simultaneous but unrelated plot was brought down by actual terrorists.
Is it a deal?

How can it be cheese if it reminds you of 1999?

Riverman37

Its a cheesy song, that uses elements of the more 'sharper, groovier' song 1999. Its cheesier in its execution and has dated more then 1999 because of that IMO.
