I remember when I was searching for the song on YouTube two years ago, they only had the three minute version. neutral So it was up to me to finally give them the full version. biggrin Or at least the version that had Gladys hitting THAT NOTE at the end. music

Visions from 1983. The same album that had "Save the Overtime for Me" on it. This one was a big R&B hit for them, reached #5.

I gotta look it up but I think it's the Calloway brothers from Midnight Star.

I read it was done by Leon Sylvers, but I gotta check. It was part of a Leon Slyvers tribute mixtape when I got it

The song was written by Wilmer Raglin,William Zimmerman,Dana Meyers and Leon Sylvers. It was produced by Gladys Knight,Sam Dees and Bubba Knight.

For years,I thought this was a Jam and Lewis production. It resembles some of the stuff that J&L were doing with Alexander O'Neal.

Hmm it probably was Leon... hmmm

Yeah I checked, it was Leon, he co-wrote it at least.

Jimmy & Terry are on another Visions track: "When You're Far Away", which oddly enough was produced by another Sylvers brother, Edmund.

Two dudes named William Zimmerman and Wilmer Raglin produced it and co-wrote this song as well.

Actually Gladys, Bubba and Sam WROTE "Save the Overtime for Me"... they didn't produce this song though.

It does, but it has that laidback early 80s R&B sound that Solar was known for too
