Anybody Heard "Watch The Throne" from Jay-Z & Kanye?

Just curious about how it actually turned out.... Because I know that everything that sounds good on paper doesn't always sounds good on record.

Personally I thought it was shockingly boring, it didn't capture the avant garde shock of Kanye's last effort or the catchy but cool vibe of Jay's last. This record just has no appeal to it in my opinion.

I listened to it all the way...no skips.More listens are required but after one listen I give it 3 out of 5 stars. Kanye is in rare form though outshining Jay Z!

It's decent. I knew it wouldn't live up to the hype, & it didn't.

Awful album. I actually began to yawn half way through it.

kanye's last album was a masterpiece.........this sounds like a throwaway mix of songs he put together with Jay Z just for the sake of having an album together.

I like it. It's not a masterpiece but it's a good album. The only songs I don't like are "Lift Off" and "H.A.M.".

Heard the snippets but nothing really stood out to me except for "That's My Bitch". I'm not buying the album. I'd rather wait for Kanye's next album. Seems like he saves the best for himself. lol

I will forever love and miss you...my sweet Prince.

Packaging for the album has leaked:

I only got one thing to say: this thing has ILLUMINATI written all over it!

As for the album....headache It does nothing in both Ye or Jay's discography. The songs and concept is just boring. Ye definitely does his best when he's alone and Jay is way past his prime, so I won't be picking this up on the 12th.

Tried listening to it today and it's quite bad actually. A few ok tracks and alot of Kanye whining and complaining as only he knows how to do.

I’ll try to pick it up this Friday (add to my collection) I heard it online already though people stupid thinking this was going to be as good as their solo efforts. I hope this is the first and last time they do an album together to be honest.

i made a thread about it called Watch The Crapper lol

The album was so dull, i wasn't expecting much but damn from Kanye to go from making his best album then 9 months later release HIS WORST. That has to be a new record!!!

Half teh songs where ego boasting anf that is getting so old form these 2, i suspect the album will do well first 2 week's then go down QUICKLY

Pistols sounded like "Fuck off," wheras The Clash sounded like "Fuck Off, but here's why.."- Thedigitialgardener

All music is shit music and no music is real- gunsnhalen

To be fair this was a joint effort Kanye doesn’t need Jay at this point.

Defintley! it's sad Jay had some good track's on MBDTF as well. But he has not made a great solo album since the black album....

I think American Gangster was decent but yes I feel as well his better days are behind him . Reasonable Doubt, The Blueprint and The Black Album are my top 3 from him. Sad that they doing a tour and most of the people I saw rather see kanye by himself lmao.

I like the album actually...very nice production...lots of different samples...synths going all over the place. It sounds like they actually had alot of fun during the making of it.

As much as I like and have supported these MCs, the hood-to-riches storyline is getting tired. But I will reserve judgment on the album until I hear it. In the meantime, here's an interesting piece.
