The Sex Pistols!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The Clash went on to do better, but The Sex Pistol's debut is untouchable.

the clash by a mile. the sex pistols album is more iconic, but the clash album is far better. the clash were a far better band than the pistols

Both are great, but I'm going with The Pistols. "Bollocks" still gets play in my CD player.

The Pistols makes the Crue look like N.K.O.T.B.

As people where saying Never Mind The Bollocks.... is more iconic no doubt. And the messiness of the record is brilliant i think lol. But The Clash where always a far better band... and the debut is a classic..

i would say The Clash by an inch

Pistols sounded like "Fuck off," wheras The Clash sounded like "Fuck Off, but here's why.."- Thedigitialgardener

Yep that was the both of them in a NUTSHELL. lol The Pistols also seemed distrustful of politics while the Clash were more socially conscious while still anti-political as well.

Not surprised. He prefers his work with PIL over Pistols material. He hated it when the group was inducted to the Hall of Fame. He called it a "shit stain". lol

They all ended up hating each other too lol

I love PIL, one of my favorite bands, very powerful music, even today nothing sounds like them.

To be honest, I think his "hatred of everything" was a publicity ploy. If you actually see him in documentaries or if he is in a good mood, he actually seems real polite. John said he has stage fright and that he was actually really shy. Probably still is. I kinda see it like Henry Rollins see it, since John had to fight to get paid for what he did with the Pistols, I don't see nothing weird in a punk legend doing a commercial lol hipsters always go "oh he's a sell-out" but I don't see it that way.

Yes Timmy, I agree.

He does have a chip on his shoulder about a lot of things and has been quite vocal about a few of his dislikes in the past, but we all have those moments from time to time.

John is a smart dude, he made a mint in real estate in California, he also has the odd art exhibition now too, he paints abstract stuff.
