Rick's Street Songs vs. Lady T's It Must Be Magic

Ok people...here's the hard one! Two classic slices of timeless funk and soul released in 1981 by two associated masters.

1. Give It To Me Baby

2. Ghetto Life

3. Make Love To Me

4. Mr. Policeman

5. Super Freak

6. Fire And Desire

7. Call Me Up

8. Below The Funk (Pass The J)

1. It Must Be Magic

2. Revolution

3. Where's California

4. 365

5. Opus 111 (Does Anybody Care)

6. Square Biz

7. The Ballad Of Cradle Rob And Me

8. Portuguese Love

9. Yes Indeed

For me, Street Songs is the clear winner. But both albums were MONSTERS!

What's ya pick folks?

Rick James only because "Super Freak" ANDDDDD "Give it to Me Baby" are on there.

Although it's close though because "Portuguese Love".....is just that epic....

Now this is a fucked up thread lol

This is hard....... Rick's album is funky as hell but also has some of his best written material like Call Me Up & Fire & Desire... and of course his 2 biggest hits but that doesn't come in to play for me wink

This is hard... cause in all honesty Teena's album is a lot deeper.... it has revolution, square bizz, portugese lover, rob & me, it must be magic.....

I think in the end i will have to say It Must Be Magic by a hair wink

Pistols sounded like "Fuck off," wheras The Clash sounded like "Fuck Off, but here's why.."- Thedigitialgardener

All music is shit music and no music is real- gunsnhalen
