It was odd how she tried to get Janet's shine when Janet was making history. Jealous much?

aardvark, you do know Paula taught Janet how to dance and the choreography for her first few Control videos right? The student outdid the teacher later on in her career.
Paula at her peak was techincally a better dancer, but Janet is so awesome at what she does too and has memorable choreeography that fits her music, especially to the Tina Landon routines.
Better music and talent? Janet of course! Paula was a singles artist, but not Janet. [Edited 10/5/11 20:19pm]

^What Janet fan doesn't know Paul did some of her early videos. Heck she even got a cameo in Nasty. But really these (Insert female artist here) Vs. Janet topics are ridiculous

I've got to go with Paula. She was the teacher.

They sang bad, Janet a little better.
Both singers have had some really good songs, but I do not like to listen to them much, because the vocals are too weak.
Dance. I'm going with Janet here. Paula is technically the better dancer, there are no issues, but she is sooooo disproportionately composed. I do not get pleasure when I look at her dance because the dancer has to have a beautiful figure, otherwise it can not simply look at the scene.

Janet Jackson. I like Paula and she was a great dancer but as far as being a artist . . . no. She had 1 good album and another decent album. That was it. She would be on ''Where are they now'' if American idol hadn't called her
