Maybe it could be the browser. I mean except for a few minutes when some of my buddies come on the site, it'll freeze for a moment (especially if something else is played on the tabs like a video for instance).

That's just because it loads the applet for the reply window.

When the browser really freezes so that it hangs for ages and you have to terminate it is when things get nasty.

And it's usually the browser itself that chooses to freeze because it eats up the computer's virtual memory.

my POINT IS that a good forums shouldnt have to freeze my browser..and trust me ive used them all for prince org.. google chrome..safari.. mozzila.. opera..same result...this is the only forum this happens ...and im appart of many forums

I love this site. Don't change it at all.

My computer NEVER freezes on this site, even when a hundred YouTube videos are posted in one thread. So, I wouldn't blame the site (...not saying that you are).

Before continuing to complain about this check what's the maximum amount of posts that appear on each page at the other forums you visit. Then adjust the maximum posts per page figure here to a similar figure.

Most of the graphics heavy forums seem to have limited this to 15 by default these days. It's 200 here at prince.org. There's a huge difference in that regard. The browser freezes simply because there is sometimes too much linked video content per page for your computer to be able to handle it.

I've already pointed out this to you, but I'll point it to you again. The maintainers of this site have no way to change how the Youtube player works. It is not provided by this site and it is not open source. Users are not allowed to post Youtube videos of Prince's material due to copyright reasons, so this never becomes a problem for the main section of this site.

These problems are in no way related to your impressions of prince.org looking dated. They are far more related to the graphics hardware and the amount of RAM on your computer not being up to the standards that Youtube expects from all users these days. Sometimes having a great graphics adapter and tons of RAM won't help either, because the people behind Youtube and Flash keep changing how their products function and non-Windows systems just aren't their priority.

You should be prepared to do some troubleshooting yourself before telling other people to change their sites.

i'm sure before i've copied and pasted links and they've worked fine but recently they have not. i still don't know how to have a link on a word like when someone types 'Here' and the link is embedded in that word.

While there are a few minor annoyances, I prefer the simplicity of this board. Sites like MJJC are a massive eyesore, as they try to cram in more and more features.

I've never had any issues with this site freezing up.
