I love the song "He doesnt know I'm alive" though, I can REALLY relate to that song right now

I used to relate it to someone too before too...the music reminds me of Prince too and PYT a little, and I love her high notes

Though Janet is her own person and I love her so much, I feel like if she wasn't active all these years while MJ was quiet, it would have been harder. She kind of compensated for it and it helped that she was so similar her in her own way, yet an individual

Very true! Janet worked her ass off to get where she is at. I can't see how anyone would say she rode MJ''s coat tail. She worked just as hard as Beyonce, Rhianna, Britney & her brother put together, if not more. She has been on over 5 tours. Plus she did five movies. Mj didn't even do all that. She didn't have to do endorsement deals either to stay relevant. Why in the hell would she want to participate in a tribute to Britney? will ALWAYS think of like a "ACT OF GOD"! N another realm. mean of all people who might of been aliens or angels.if found out that wasn't of this earth, would not have been that surprised. R.I.P. ![]()

MJ didn't have to do deals, he could afford to disappear and come back, but he used those opportunities to reach out to a broader and younger audience over the years and that was the tactic, like with LA Gear, California Raisins, Pepsi, Simpsons, you name it. Janet did do commercials overseas though for Pepsi, Airlines and recently, for Blackglama to gain exposure overseas.
I felt that though no one is on mj's level, she was like a surrogate MJ in a way though not a clone either

I've decided, and it's "Control". That album was iconic and groundbreaking in several different ways. "Get up off that grey line"

Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis absolutely killed it on Control.
Bad* - eek; it wasn't until he got a hold of Riley did MJ stop it with the corn.
Control 1 Bad 0
*Another Part of Me - an amazing jam.

Michael worked less hard than Janet?? Guys, what kind of world do you live?
Of course, Вad for me. I love Dirty Diana, Smooth Criminal, The way you make me feel.
I doubt that at least one album Janet exceeds any adult album Michael. Hell no ....

"Control" was a much more influencial album, and I love songs like "what have you done for me lately", but for me, its not half as strong as "bad". No album really sounds like it, as it was probably so damn expensive to make (all the then very expensive early digital/midi sounds), and I love the production of it. Theres very little depth to any of the songs apart from "Man in the mirror", but I dig it for that aswell LOL. It's pretty much all commercial pop and I dig it for that LOL.
So "bad" for me easily. | |

Bad is a great album, but I feel like it's just Thriller number 2, those albums seem so similar to me! And I tend to skip some of the songs on Bad, some songs are repetitive and cheesy and after listening to them enough times, it annoys me. I just find listening to Control more enjoyable, it flows better as well, and I just like the songs more in general.

The Bad Album. I like Control but I have a hard time listening to it in 2011 lol but I still love Bad. That album had NO flaws. The Way You Make Me Feel, Leave Me Alone, Dirty Diana, Man in The Mirror, Another Part of Me, come on! To be honest l like the Bad album more than Thriller
