a-ha to re-unite for Norway Memorial Service in honor of Oslo Victims After their final concert on December 4th 2010, a-ha went their seperate ways. Lead Singer Morten Harket began some political ventures also within nature which he has been an activist for over 25 years, member Pal Savoy began work with Jimmy Gnnecco on a project along with working with Singer Sondre Lerche in NYC and other local nyc acts, and member Magne Furuholmen played some dates with his band Apparatjik in Russia and Germany, and had just completed a new art exhibit when the tragic events in oslo unfolded, a-ha of course from Norway and played their last shows in Oslo, also had just been inducted into their Hall Of Fame, will now reunite as part of a memorial service in Oslo at the same venue where a-ha played their last gig, other Norwegian acts will take part, but as most said it wouldnt have been a complete show without the most respected Norwegian act of all time present, a-ha will put aside their "break" for this show, unknown what will be played some have already suggested that they play "Differences" an unreleased track that they played at the Nobel Peace Prize concerts back in 2001, the event will be televised and carried on the net.
Due to the events of that day, Member Magne Furuholmen cancelled his premiere of his art exhibit saying that "it wouldnt be right to do this now" "We went where our music was appreciated, and that was everywhere but the USA, we knew we had fans, but there is only so much of the world you can play at once" Magne F | |
