It probably was deleted because of the attacks being levied back and forth. I just have to say that the level of animosity and cynicism some people at this forum have where Whitney is concerned (and the desire to diminish her accomplishments) is really...weird.

It's entertaining. Besides, it's just people expressing their opinions. The greatness or non-greatness of an artist is based on individual opinions. What happened to people having the right to express their opinons? Just because someone doesn't like some of the things people are saying about a particular artist, the enitire thread gets deleted??? What kind of shit is that???

However, it was delusional how alot of people in that thread were indenial of Whitneys commercial accomplishments ex.hits, chart positions, awards, etc... I dont care how you feel about the woman if their is objective evidence that shows she WAS at one time commercially successful then shut the fuck up. It was to many people in there that were just being disrespectful and rude simply because they didnt like Whitney Houston.

Alot of wierd stuff is going on lately A recent thread about Patti LaBelle turned into a disaster and it too had to be deleted.I never realized that certain artists are so controversial on this site! lol

Seems silly to delete a thread with lots of good discussion because of wacko, crazed, stupid people. Why can't the moderators exercise rule and warn the offenders so things can be more civil around here. Why give those people so much power to create a mess.

Seems counterintuitive to running a sane, mature site. Just saying. Why bother even having moderators when people can behave how they want without imputinity even when it is clear that some posters are trolling or being disruptive.

Yeah, I'm not sure what's going on, but it's all becoming a bit much. Some folks need to calm down, try to maintain a sense of humor, and understand you can agree to disagree. Guess wha? Some people are going to take exception to what you say or dismiss it outright... gasp!!!

Some of are discussions have become a tad heated but so what? Talking about music can be just as volatile as expressing an opinion on religions, politics and sex. All n' All, members of the org police themselves pretty well. If folks are that thin skinned, it would probably be best to get off the org.
