Does Anybody Else Think Slick Rick Might Be Gay?

Slick Rick is one of the the dopest emcee's ever, but I've always thought there was something funny about him. Whether he is or not, I'm still a fan. I just wonder if anyone else thinks this....

I checked out Slick Rick in concert years ago in the Bay Area and he was doing some extremely gay stuff on stage with with tongue and facial expressions. I tried not to think much of it, but it was pretty over the top. I looked around in the audience to see if people saw what I saw. Been waiting for years for someone to comment of this. I'm a fan of his no doubt, but dude was flaming out on stage when I peeped him..

Never gave it a second thought. Even now, I don't have an opinion. I guess I'm just the kind of person that considers ANYONE could be Gay, whether they appear to be or not. Nevertheless, there ARE some people that immediately trigger my "gaydar" (...sorry for using that played-out term, but it kinda fits here), but Slick Rick has not been one of them (...perhaps because I've never watched him that closely).

At the same time, there are many people who DO seem to be Gay to me, that would otherwise seem completely hetero to others. For the most part, I go by what I feel, and not by what a person would have me to believe.

But again, in regards to Slick Rick: I LOVE his music, but otherwise just haven't paid him that much attention on a personal level.

...and while this gif is pretty funny, I wouldn't automatically deem "fancy hands" an indicator of a performers sexuality, lol.

Yeah. He never passed off as gay to me. Plus the move he's doing here is one of his trademark dances. I think folks in the hood were dancing like that. It went with a dance move he did called "The Wop", which was real popular.

Dru Down used to have his own version of that very same dance:

His wife was on TV when they talked about his immigration problems and had kids with a girlfriend from years ago.

You could find anything funny about any entertainer for that matter. I think some entertainers might have a sexual identity crisis in private, yet because they're in the public eye, have to work this stuff out behind closed doors somehow.

You really can't judge on how they perform on stage. I think entertainers are caring less about being gay hurting their image. Some people stay in the closet because they feel it would devestate their parents, and causes problems in their own relationships.

As a gay man, what would that be exactly?

I don't want you to think like me. I just want you to think.

I thought La Di Da Di was pretty gay, lyrically speaking.
