Singer/actress Brandy is making moves again, and this time to the Hills of Beverly. The 32-year-old Grammy Award-winner has just signed as a new cast member in CW‘s 90210.

Look for Brandy in the upcoming fall line-up where she’ll be playing a politician named Marissa Jackson-Lewis who’s running for congress. According to TVline, her character is described as a cross between Hillary Clinton and President Barack Obama.

Here’s what B recently tweeted to her fans:

“I can’t tell you starz nothing first…lol! Yes I’m going to be on #90210 for multiple episodes and I will be playing a politician!!! YIKES!

I have the acting bug, singing bug, and all around ENTERTAINMENT bug! Ready to inspire and fulfill my new dreams all over again! Pray 4 me:)”

90210 returns Tuesday, Sept. 13 at 9/8c, and Brandy will make her debut in October.

Interesting. Have never watched 90210...and Brandy is my girl but I don't know if even she can make me watch.

I'm looking foward to her new documentary though...I hope it airs soon.

I followed the first season of that show, and then slowly came to this realization: [Cedric the entertainer] I'm a grown-ass man dawg.[/Cedric the entertainer] I can't relate anymore . Plus, "The OC" was/is better, and they followed that template too much for me to keep any kind of interest in it. Love Brandy, but i'll just wait to see/hear what else she's got going on.

I agree.When the hit records stop,try something else.Brandy is doing the right thing.In one of the Whitney Houston threads,I suggested that Whitney find a role on a TV show.It pays the bills.

I just wish Brandy had found a series more deserving of her.

Brandy is a has been and so is the show.... a perfect fit IMO.

Gosh that was real bad...well it was Ray J that made the show almost unwatchable for me.

But the documentary of hers I said I was looking forward to will chronicle her life with her daughter...and how this is her last chance to make a really good album or she's done for (All dramatic...If you've ever seen the promo) ...So it takes us through the making of the album as well...and she will answer all the "burning" questions about her fake marriage and the accident and yada yada yada for the 100th time...

I love her so I'm gonna watch...Not sure if it's a web or T.V series
