Mavis Staples, as part of the soul/gospel institution the Staples Singers, sang "The Weight" with the Band in Martin Scorsese's classic concert doc The Last Waltz. And she has sung "The Weight" with a ton of music luminaries ever since.

This past weekend at the Outside Lands Festival in San Francisco, Staples performed "The Weight" with Arcade Fire's Win Butler. Butler played guitar, sang backup, and took over for one verse. From the sound of things, the crowd lost its collective mind.
