But I've heard much worse that doesnt even get a flicker of an eyelid. What about when racist Morrissey was talking about chinese people being an 'subspecies'? Hmmm that seems to gets ignored. funny that.

Yeah but anyone who listens to The Smiths or Morrissey knows that he's a whiny, racist, sexist, self loathing, narcissistic, blowhard cunt weasel...

You just learn to love him for it.

Morrissey is an asshole, is an asshole and he knows it.

Kanye is a self righteous asshole, but he plays it off like he's not.

like he's the victim.

i say if your going to be an asshole, than be an asshole, stop blaming the world for calling you out as an asshole.

That just makes you more of an asshole.

Therein lies the difference. I rather for someone to be HONEST about who they are then trying to pretend they're a victim. I wouldn't have a problem with Kanye being a pompous ass if he KNEW he was a pompous ass.

I'm sure he's received the memo, several times over, lol.

Though as a Gemini, I strongly believe he won't stay this same way for much longer. He'll eventually shift into another mode. For better or worse though, is yet to be seen. Honestly (though I wish no harm upon him), I wouldn't be surprised if he turns out to be the type of character that doesn't live to see old age. In the back of my mind, I expect him to be the type to commit suicide (...which is why I moderate my hate toward him). Hope I'm wrong, and that he lives a long life where he wins all his critics over to his side.

Yeah...

No...

That man is too self righteous for suicide...

The only way I see this man really dying is by jumping off a roof, because he thought he was an invincible superhero.

I also believe an overwhelming sense of being misunderstood could drive a person to take their own life as well.

I certainly hope you're right, but I don't believe it's beyond the bounds of possibility for someone who would post their penis on the Internet to consider suicide. If anything, it screams of a desperate need for attention that it would seem he doesn't feel he's getting otherwise. Nevertheless, I think I understand the point you're trying to make; that he's too full of himself to take his own life.

Personally, I see his bravado as a front in defense of a very unhappy person.

Kanye West - "Diamonds"

"What more could you ask for

The international ASSHOLE

Who complain about what he is owed

And throw a tantrum like he is 3 years old

You gotta love it tho somebody still speak from his soul"

So, now your argument is moot.

This is Kanye's war on the media. He knows that the media is controlled by mostly Ashkanezi Jews and he knows that any mention of Hitler will stir them up enough to mention his name. As was said, he has a new CD with Jay-Z coming out, so this gives him the opportunity to piss off some of the people he's angry with while at the same time, promoting himself and therefore indirectly promoting his upcoming album.

Chess move. He's not worried about what the critics think of him at this point. I see what he did there. Its all part of the game.

I think he's probably a troubled young brother, for sure. Which is why I can't totally hate him. I can overlook a certain amount of his nonsense.

............and it will backfired!

Megan Fox once compare filmmaker Michael Bey to Adolph Hitler. As soon as executive producer Steven Spielberg found out about what Megan said, he gave the direct order to Michael to have Megan fired. Even since then, Megan has been reduce to playing roles in nothing but box-office flops, most likely because Steven has advise "some people" in Hollywood to NEVER have Megan is potential hit roles until further notice.

Now here we have Kanye West comparing himself to Adolph Hitler. Do you honestly think for one second that his career in the industry (music, film, whatever....) will not suffer serious damages in the long-term?!? "Some people" within the industry are already thinking of ways to make Kanye paid the ultimate price for his statements. neutral

Yeah, but its Kanye. Nobody can be surprised.

Megan Fox is an actress. She can not have a career without a movie and it takes a lot of people to make a movie. Kanye can make music without the media, although I think he would flip if everybody ignored him.

Artists have always been controversial. That is something that should continue.

Its funny because he actually just got some heat from Chuck D over his song Otis with Jay-Z about glamorizing materialism in a down economy and when the black community seems to be at its worst financially.

In one breath, he's rebellious; in another a tool. Hypomanic, 4 sho.

Kanye is really like a more educated ODB. Every black family has their own version of Kanye or ODB. That being said, I think Kanye suffers from sort of mental illness (him being a Gemini isn't helpful, either) and needs meds. I also think he has never gotten over his mom passing.

His mother's passing has nothing to do with what he goes through with the media, like when he had to set Matt Lauer straight about trying to "play tv" with him. It doesn't make any of what he said wrong, even if he apologizes for it. The media DOES play the sensationalism card every chance they get. People just look where the cameras go and listen to what the reporters say and they NEVER look at who's behind what direction the camera is pointed in and who told the reporters to say what they say.

People need to relax. We all know what he meant by the

metaphor; "Hitler" is a metonym for an outrageous type of "evil".

We act as if there are some words/concepts/events that are so sacrosanct that

using them as a figure of speech to describe is sacrilege. By that I mean,

was Hitler was so egregiously evil, that his name should not be

ever mentioned metaphorically to something not as evil?

No. We already use words/concepts/events that were originally attached

to some sort of universal event that was outstandingly evil.

For example:

Jesus was betrayed by Judas Iscariot.

Jesus is considered by millions to be sacrosanct

But, we now use the concept/name "Judas" to describe

a turncoat, thus the original word/concept has become

a metonym, mostly erasing the "holiness" attached to Christ and Judas.

We all know what he meant by using Hitler and to be

honest, it is appropriate; that is the philosophy and workings

of language.

I don't know if anyone ever COMPARED Kanye to that monster, I can see what you mean as him being compared to being "evil". In one breath he says he don't mind being a villain in his raps but then he tries to plead for "understanding" in other public events. Maybe he just has two sides and he has a problem merging the two.
