Wow, a lot to name. Michael McDonald does come to mind. As does Teena Marie.

I immediately thought of him and George Michael.

There's also Mick Hucknall from Simply Red.....

How do you know if a person has blue eyes or not? Do you go looking at a bunch of people's pictures? And how do you know if they're wearing colored contacts? lol

You can take a black guy to Nashville from right out of the cotton fields with bib overalls, and they will call him R&B. You can take a white guy in a pin-stripe suit who’s never seen a cotton field, and they will call him country. ~ O. B. McClinton

Out of female blue-eyed soul singers, I have to agree it's Teena Marie, hands down. Probably followed by Nikka Costa. Actually Amy Winehouse should be third, then maybe Jessie J.

Everyone else gets a consolation prize. lol

...Whaaa? Christina can sing her ass off, she has a powerful voice, but I've honestly never heard her and thought, "Damn, that was soulful."

You must be a casual fan who never listened to her album tracks.

Everybody gets their moment in the Sun.

Just be glad this time its a deserving individual

Adele is sweet and humble...

I rather the hype be on her, than Lady Gaga, Beyonce... etc

Adele is a better singer than Amy. Amy was great on Frank but her voice isn't all that on her most famed album lol They both sing better than Britney razz

Actually, no; I had her first CD and "Stripped", both of which I played to death at one point. I never heard soul in her voice, despite her ability to sing almost anyone under the table.

I should probably make clear, what 'soul' is, to me, personally :
