That's part of the beauty of the instrument. It can cover so much emotional ground by itself. Probably, why the organ trios were so successful. All you need is a drummer and guitar just for a different color.

Sarah Sings Soufully.... I know you've been trying to digest in all, just take your time.
This is one of Ms. Vaughan's best albums; you get to hear a lil' gospel tone coming from Vaughan. She and Washington were begged to record a Gospel album but both declined. As my grandmother said, they chose the other side, thank you Jesus"!
Everytime I've thought I've heard everything Sarah put to vinyl, she can still make my jaw drop. Sometime in the early/mid 50's Vaughan sung, "On Green Dolphin Street" live on the radio with her trio...
I've uploaded..... one of my favorites by Smith. My brother calls this song a slow burn....
I'm a BIG fan of Shirley Scott's too.
