Robyn mini-documentary.

Robyn recently worked with American documentary filmmaker and photographer Jim Goldberg on a very special video project to immerse viewers in her inner world of pop and performance. He created a collage of Super 8 film that was shot at Bonnaroo in June and layered it with audio fragments of a phone conversation he had with the singer.

The result of this unique audiovisual installation is "an unrestricted view of the sincere ambition behind her career," according to a description of the film. Set to "Indestructible," the short film does a magnificent job capturing the very essence of Robyn as an artist and performer through the grainy, timeless imagery and her deeply personal monologue.

Vulnerable, focused and fearless, Robyn specifically talks candidly about her deep relationship with her audience that is unconditional in both ways. "I try to catch the mood that runs through me and the crowd at a show," she explains. "All the expectations and the dreams that people project on my songs. I try to let it all happen (. . . ) I let the crowd project on me, and I project on them with no questions asked."

Robyn's is such a strong and gentle spirit, and this film by Jim Goldberg captures her aura so poignantly and vividly that you can reach out and touch it. Watch it after the break.
