While that might be healthy(?) it sure sounds vomitrocious!
Well it is if you MIX the two together, which is not the case.
People might have a tablespoon of cod liver oil and then eat the porridge, while maybe not the best tasting breakfast you could have, it's not really "vomitrocious" IMO.
Nowadays it's very common for Icelanders to take the cod liver oil in capsules - it's an excellent source of Omega-3 and A- and D-vitamins.
I ususally have one or two capsules plus special multi-vitamin tablets without A and D-vitamins in the morning myself.
My Gramma (God rest her soul!) used to make us take a spoonful of cod liver oil every morning and it was vile! I agree with pill forms but no oil! And porridge is too slimey for me. "Music gives a soul to the universe, wings to the mind, flight to the imagination and life to everything." --Plato

Yeah, though that would cost a lot more than $800.
And would you really want porridge, liver and cheese for breakfast??
I don't think there's such a thing as a "traditional" Icelandic breakfast - if there is I'm sure the liver wouldn't be a part of it. Porridge and cod liver oil might be the closest thing to what you could call a "traditional" Icelandic breakfast - I should know, I've lived there my whole life.
And you're right, it would probably cost more than $800 - you would have to pay that amount for JUST the B&B (2 people for 3 nights).
I would love to visit, it's been on my wish list for a long time.

Indeed, but it's the expense that worries me.....maybe next year. I can't stay away from London right now, London is my vice.
Sorry to the OP for veering off topic. |

Back to the topic--I am really looking forward to Bjork's new CD, but not the box set! "Music gives a soul to the universe, wings to the mind, flight to the imagination and life to everything." --Plato

Yes, can't wait, i'm not bothered about all the app stuff and all the tech hoopla and tuning forks, just give me the cd and a gig or two.
I went to see Bjork years ago and she was totally brilliant.

I sure hope she skates across the pond for some gigs this time. :crosses fingers: "Music gives a soul to the universe, wings to the mind, flight to the imagination and life to everything." --Plato

They were made to order. However many pre-orders they had, that's how many they made. And why can't obsessive fans have money to spend? |
