Yeah Derek Trucks absolutely rips it up.
I had only heard one of ST's songs, years ago, and it was okay, but she kind of sounded like she was trying too hard. It was nice to just hear her sing normally, because she does it really well. My Legacy

I'm guessing that is an argument that has been had before?
nah, she is good, I am not starting anything, I just had not heard her sing anything but the one song. And she must have been a kid when it came out. My Legacy

I have not heard this song for years. Listening now, it's not the vocals (which I was probably just envious of), but it's kind of a sterile arrangement (which I am probably envious of)

I'm a big fan of both. Didn't they appear on Letterman with Herbie Hancock some time back? Thanks for the heads-up!

Thanks for this thread. I'm only now coming across it, and with such funny timing: In a completely unrelated setting, a local friend of mine -- a much older fellow who's quickly becoming a sort of music mentor -- has assigned me the homework of listening to Revelator, Soul Serenade, Already Free and Songlines. I've got a long drive in store tomorrow, and I cant' wait to listen along the way. Ὅσον ζῇς φαίνου

Yeah. The YouTube clip of the performance has been "silenced" due to copyright infringement. "Ya see, we're not interested in what you know...but what you are willing to learn. C'mon y'all."
