Jackie Lomax ~ Sour Milk Sea

You can take a black guy to Nashville from right out of the cotton fields with bib overalls, and they will call him R&B. You can take a white guy in a pin-stripe suit who’s never seen a cotton field, and they will call him country. ~ O. B. McClinton

Good posts tonight. This is a George Harrison song that was written during the White Album era, I believe.

He sings it with far more range than George could have.

Although I do really like George's vocals in general; they are just way more restrained.

One of his best vocals is on "Art of Dying"

I think there is a demo version of Sour Milk Sea by The Beatles.

Yeah there is. it's very basic, just George on an acoustic guitar.

Although there might be a later version I haven't heard.

I found one. It says in the discription that it's a rehearsal. There's no drums, but I hear a bass.
