Meditation music?

Anybody here into meditation? I find the flute songs and the chants to be most beneficial for meditating. My acupuncturist has a cool cd called Namaste that I just ordered from Amazon and here's a few nice ones I found on Youtube...

Do you guys have some recommendations to share? Nature sounds, ocean waves, or whatever?

I do meditation. Here's what I listen to while I meditate:

Guided meditations.

It's by Esther Hicks who apparently is a translator for this group of nonphysical consciousness that is referred to as plural (we instead of I, etc). I don't believe in all the teachings but I listen to what I agree with. It's really great, if you look up 'Abraham Hicks' on youtube, you will see.

Those guided meditations are incredible though... It's basically like this music that you can align your breathing with and s/he guides and says certain suggestions. Theres also one track with just the music.

What 'getting in the vortex' means, essentially, is getting into your alignment with your nonphysical self (spirit). And in doing that, you being a happy, appreciative, empowered human being and have the ability to attract whatever it is you'd like into your life easily.

It sounds batshit crazy but I love it.

Thank you. Lemme post that video for ya because the slideshow has some beautiful imagery too.

It's funny because it's one of the videos I was going to post next so we're on the same wavelength. Some of the Native American chants are so hauntingly beautiful.

Thanks, I'll check out the cd.

For my regular meditations I use a mantra but I dig some of the guided meditations with music for relaxing and contemplation.

Binaural beats (and isochronic tones, which are more effective) are essentially auditory beats that affect your brain waves to achieve an altered state of mind.

I've actually purchased isochronic tones. They're pretty good, but some people don't like how it sounds. You should look them up on youtube or something and see how they sound and if you are comfortable with them; they can be very effective.

You can find the best quality binaural beats/isochronic tones here: http://www.store.unexplainable.net/
