They play this on the oldies station. You can take a black guy to Nashville from right out of the cotton fields with bib overalls, and they will call him R&B. You can take a white guy in a pin-stripe suit who’s never seen a cotton field, and they will call him country. ~ O. B. McClinton | |

The first(and the only) time I ever heard this song was in "Dazed & Confused". I honestly thought it was either Sly or Johnny back then. | |

Some of my relatives had this record, so I heard it all the time when I was little. I think he's considered a "one hit wonder" with this song, although he's recorded for decades. I live in New Orleans. I hear this tune on the radio down here ALLLL the time. In CA...I don't think I heard it once. Awesome tune. Filthy Nasty. | |
