Patrice Rushen - I Need Your Love/This Is All I Really Know Two slow steamers from the incomparable Ms. Patrice Rushen a.k.a Ms. Baby Fingers! From her 1980 classic, Posh. Fabulous record, by the way!

I'm a casual fan.
Anyway I got a quick question about "This Is All I Really Know".
At the end of the song, when the tempo changes, there seems to be a different vocalist on it (it didn't sound like Patrice). I almost wanted to say that was Syreeta singing but I don't know. You know who it was?

The album sleeve has the lyrics and credits for each song. Lynn Davis is listed as Background Vocalist and also credited as "Solo Vocal Ad Lib" on the track.

I believe that is Lynn Davis, who also had a co-writing credit on that particular cut. She killed it, I know! Check me out and add me on:

I only saw this right now!
Ya know, ain't nothing like Baby Fingers playing in the background while you're doing a VERY tedious task(with a proper headphone, this is the PERFECT music to play to, Trice produced her albums down to the details, hell, even the space played an intricate role in the production too). I love the ensemble musicians that have been with her through out all of her albums; Freddie Washignton, Charles Mims Jr., Reggie Andrews, Roy Galloway, Lynn Davis.
Speaking of Lynn Davis, I thought for a long time before I became used to Trice' music that it was Patrice singing this song....
Turned out that it was Miss Davis.
