Phil Collins ~ Sussudio (12" Version)

You can take a black guy to Nashville from right out of the cotton fields with bib overalls, and they will call him R&B. You can take a white guy in a pin-stripe suit who’s never seen a cotton field, and they will call him country. ~ O. B. McClinton

His sixth best track after In the Air Tonight, I Don't Care Anymore, Can't It Wait Until Tomorrow, If Leaving Me Is Easy and I Missed Again.

i also remember winding up one of the pp's in the npgmc chat cuz i said prince copied 1999 from sssuidio. they said phil released his song after 1999, and i said prince went back in time after listening to it and copied it for 1999. nearly got another ban for that. they couldn't understand i was taking the piss

i also got a good talking to in private for saying i wasn't into beastiality when one of the pp's said they had just watched whale rider

too many other times i got banned to mention

at least in the uk few people even today could tell you who phil bailey was. if you managed to get a reply it would be "the guy who sang with phil collins"

the title track walking on the chinese wall was also good

I thought Phil Bailey was the long haired dude who spends his time crawling around the country looking at badgers.

The Earth Wind & Fire horn section worked with Genesis on the Abacab album and they played on Sussudio too.

Ahh..the '80s! BEAST of a jam, produced by David Frank of The System. And, I always think of Patrick Bateman gettin' his groove on when I hear it...

I love this track, and Phil Collins used to be great in Genesis, in the 1980's.

No, it was produced by Hugh Padgham & Phil. David Frank plays keyboards though.

( I am only asking / being curious, because the pics are posted already)

LOL yeah, that Phil Collins scene with the hookers is classic! And the whole chapter in the book (and scene in the film) devoted to Whitney Houston... falloff
