R. Kelly isn't have a good month. Earlier this month, news broke that his Chicago mansion is facing foreclosure and then, the singer underwent surgery which resulted in the cancellation of scheduled shows.

Now, the IRS is coming after Kellz.

According to The Detroit News, Kelly owes more than $837,000 in delinquent federal taxes.

The IRS filed the tax lien against the 44-year-old Chicago native in January 2010. However, he did catch a break.

There was a previous $1.3 million tax lien filed against Kelly, but the IRS released it last month.

Last week, Kelly canceled a scheduled performance in Jamaica due to health issues. He had visited a throat specialist earlier in the week,complaining of severe throat pain, and after preliminary exam, he was rushed to Northwestern Memorial for surgery.

A rep for the singer said an abscess was drained on one of his tonsils. His present condition is unknown.
