Wanna hear the country version of "Purple Rain?"

Same chord progression albeit in a different key. Solo's got a lot of the same feel and vibe, too.

I'd bet you dollars to doughnuts that Paisley played the guitar parts the way he did as an homage to "Purple Rain".

This version should sound better.

That progression is pretty common in the Country scene...

Purple Rain was inspired by Bob Seger

However a better country version would be Ryan Adams "Hotel Chelsea Nights"

even the word phrasing mimics purple rain
