According to Peter, Mike didn't when they did a tour with him in the mid-1990's. wink

You can take a black guy to Nashville from right out of the cotton fields with bib overalls, and they will call him R&B. You can take a white guy in a pin-stripe suit who’s never seen a cotton field, and they will call him country. ~ O. B. McClinton

Nesmith. Micky was never called "Mike" although Michael is his middle name, his first name is George. Actually Michael is Nesmith's middle name too. His full name is Robert Michael Nesmith. Paul McCartney also uses his middle name. Paul's 1st name is James. Eric Benet uses his first and middle names. His last name is Jordan.

Yeah alot of bitterness there. I saw them back in the 80's when they were hot on MTV. I'm glad I got to see them again.

Mike always seemed to have a problem with The Monkees, even back in the 1960's. Not the other 3 guys per se, but the whole concept. I was surprised he agreed to do the TV special and the tour in 1995-96, although he quit halfway through it. It's not like he needed the money, considering he's living off of Liquid Paper money. lol I think Mike was asked to participate in this current tour, but declined. I don't think Mike has done much musically at all since the 80's. Maybe that's why Peter said that Mike guitar playing had deteriorated, and that he (Peter) was doing most of the guitar parts during that tour. It was implied that critics were writing negatively about Mike's performance, and that's why he quit the tour before it came to the US.

I've read about that Michael Nesmith think tank somewhere before, a magazine I guess.

Michael Nesmith made this really cool movie where a guy went back in time with a motorcycle. He was kicking major ass until he ran out of gas.

I've never seen it, but I think it's called Timerider or something like that.
