Why Keri Hilson is a b**** and an example of the fake music industry today!

R&B singer Keri Hilson found herself in a bit of hot water earlier today {July 26) after tweeting a photo of an Amy Winehouse lookalike and while it appeared Hilson was speaking in jest, fans on Twitter were offended by the picture which eventually led to the No Boys Allowed singer to apologize to Winehouse fans.

During a night on the town in New York City, Keri Hilson attended an event at the Juliet Supper Club where she ran into a fellow patron who resembled Amy Winehouse in Hilson’s view. The likeness motivated Hilson to tweet, “Gasp* Amy Winehouse resurrected to party w/ me!!! (seriously, uncanny resemblance)” last night (July 25) – which the singer quickly apologized for in a series of ensuing tweets.

“Come on, I mean no harm. All due respect. But really the resemblance freaked me out. This was simply the best tribute ever. #RIPAMYWINEHOUSE,” tweeted Hilson in an attempt to diffuse the anger from fans of the fallen singer. Hilson continued with, “Bedtime. I apologize 2 anyone who might've taken it the wrong way. As a fan, I thought it was cool that she dressed up to honor Amy.. I had no ill intent, but I understand how it appears insensitive...my bad twitterville. For real. Good night smile.”

Keri Hilson is currently on tour with Lil Wayne and the "I Am Still Music" tour.

Singer Keri Hilson Most Hated Woman For Twitter Amy Winehouse Joke

By Robert Paul Reyes
in Share

singer Keri Hilson became the "most hated" woman on Twitter after making a joke about Amy Winehouse just hours before her funeral.

The Knock You Down star posted a picture of her heading out with a pal done up to look like Winehouse, who died on Saturday. Accompanying the snap, Hilson wrote: "Amy Winehouse resurrected to party w/me."

Keri Hilson is a third-rate singer, she was trying to jump-start her career by making a tasteless joke about Amy Winehouse.

If Amy was rock royalty, Hilson is the court jester. I doubt Hilson could keep up with Amy the party animal, and she sure as hell couldn`t keep up with her on the Billboard charts.

If you find Hilson`s tweet reprehensible, tweet your disapproval, and better yet don`t download any of her songs.

That's what I was going to say..what was the point in even putting anything on Twitter in the first place? disbelief

She should stop hanging out at Airheads-R-Us and gain some common sense (and some talent too...just sayin').

It was poor timing and extremely bad taste. Twitter in the hands of dimwit celebs is not a good idea. She was dragged mercilessly!

The ability to have direct communication with an artist makes it worthwhile and interesting. I wrote a tweet the other day mentioning the difficulty I'd experienced in locating a release by an indie artist whose songs I enjoy. She sent me a message with info on where to find the CD. That's what I dig about Twitter.

I agree... She knew it wasnt the REAL Amy and that is possibly could cause confusion. I dont know why she would post that...

Celebrities blame the media for everything but half of the time they bring the the vultures on themselves. That pic was unnessary.

I agree Twitter is pretty stupid.

As for Keri, I'm not a fan, but what she did seems merely tacky, nothing much worse. I think her apology is sufficient.

Pretty girl. But not much else beyond that for me (let alone manners or some semblance of taste). I don't even find her interesting enough to care what she tweets. Hopefully she learned a lesson.

problem is that ALOT of artists have fake accounts run by 9 year olds, or accounts run by their TEAMS posting things for them, not making excuses for Keri because i had no use for her before and this shows her true stupidity, these artists want TO USE media to sell and be all over, but then cry and apologize and do a mea culpa on the Oprah or Dr Phil show when they show their stupid ignorant selfs. At the end of the day who cares really social networking should be taken for what it is, mindless chatter with about 1% worthwhile stuff. As for your other point on the indie artist, its cool connecting that way, through the internet i have connected with alot of "older artists" that i grew up on who are mature enough to handle the "net".

I think it's moreso that twitterville needs to stop throwing their arms up in the air after one-off comments. Find something better to do than to hang on a "celebrities" every syllable.
