ZWAN- SET 2 DEBUT A NUMBER 1

Accordin 2 this week album sales, ZWAN are set 2 take number 1 slot. This is quite a surprise, but it shows dat there are still fans of Billy Corgan out there. Even though Billy states his new band are totally diverse and have no hints of The smashin Pumpkins grunge genre. Its just good music and deserves 2 be at the top.

'Zwan haven't come close to knocking 'Siamese Dream' from its lofty perch, but this debut shows Corgan is not only a talented multi-dimensional character with a finely tuned ear for harmonies. It also contradicts the old adage about rock stars growing up. It seems Corgan may be comfortable with his elder statesman status, and frankly, it suits him.'

TRON

I recently checked the Billboard album chart and Zwan debuted at #3. Not bad for an alternative band.

I bought the Zwan record last week. I haven't had time to listen to it yet, and I'm not crazy about the art direction - but I'm so happy Billy's back. I think he got tired of being pissed off - it's refreshing

What charts are U talking about? Cuz There album is #27 at the present time, with its debut #3. Zwan had a 58% drop off in sales. 4 its credit Zwan is getting good write ups and a solid rating in Rolling Stone 4 out 5 stars. But 50cents is #1 with a bullet topping the 200 & R&B/Hip Hop charts.

I bought the DVD version the day it came out, then went back the next day for the regular version. I sold old CD's to pay for it, so I'm not totally obsessive. They gave me a free Zwan t-shirt that says "Ztaff" on the back when I bought the regular version.

Also, I heard they inflated sales figures for "Mellon Collie," so I wouldn't be surprised if advance press for Zwan isn't accurate.

The irony of all this is that Corgan broke up the Smashing Pumpkins at completely the wrong time. Whining he couldn't compete with the Britney's and Christina's no sooner did he split them Nu Metal and Alt rock got big again. If it was a new Pumpkins CD it would probably have doubled in sales. Still i like the Zwan album, its really good pop/rock which sounds a bit a crap description, but that's what it is, just played with an edge.

50 Cent blew there Ass on the Charts away as well as everyone else.Zwan did well though but Billy Corgan is a Main stay in the Pop Area so no big surprise there.Smashing Pumpkins had real good success.
