Ceramic Girl's the cut.

I have there greatest hits collection. Their very underrated and should have been bigger than they were. Alot of their songs and style remind me of Prince

Loved all of their stuff including the 2 unrelased projects.

That is an understatement if I ever heard one. Hell, these guys probably were one of the first graduating class of Prince's University of MPLS Funk.

They were pretty big news on the R&B side of things. I remember reading an interview from them saying something to the fact of not trying to sound like Prince, but they appreciated the compliment. These fellas were good for the time. Their slow songs were VERY good.

I've been listening to the "Long Time Coming" album a lot lately

I love "Ready for the World", I think alot of people do.

For some reason though whenever I read their band name now I always think of that Twista song "Slow Jamz".

I like that album even more than the debut.Favorites are "Baby (Let Me Love You)","Mary Goes Round" and "Do You Get Enough" (the three tracks that sound the most like Prince,lol).

I saw them live last year and was shocked at how tight the band still sounds and that Melvin's voice is the same. That was a really good show.

Yeah, his tone was/is always smooth. Cool vocal style too. He's probably underrated due to the band itself being underrated plus he wasn't a "traditional belter" vocally.
