They were great in their day, their soft piano melody type thoughtful music wasa refreshing change from all the hip hop, hi nrg dancing and sex laden r and b on the charts then (Remember the Season 3 Simpsons episode that lampooned it - "We're sending our love down the well", had dropped from 1 to 98 to be replaced by "I do believe we are naked" by Funky c Funky do). At a time when Black music on the pop chart meant sex, rap or ultra cool dance music that would date terribly, PM Dawns hits were a pleasing change. Of course 1992/93 would bring a few deeper and less hip hoppy/dancey machine pumped black acts out like Tasmin Archer, Alicia Keys and Toni Braxton. Got some kind of love for you, and I don't even know your name

U know...I LOVE pM Dawn. I DO own all of those records....except i never recieved Fucked Music...I paid for the mother fucker...but never got it....bitter note for them in my book...i know they were have some contract/financial prblms them...but man.....i've looked for it since and continually find dead torrents. Nuff about that. Jesus Wep and Dearest Chrisian are my fves....but I like 'em all. Not EVERY tune is a gem...but they know how to make music and draw emotion.
I don't think this is their best song, but it's my most emotional..."As Disapointing As Your Mercy Is"
it hits the "low-self-esteem" part of me like an uppercut from tyson and tears me up EVERY time.

I couldn't believe when they flipped "Father Figure" only 5 years after it was a hit single for GM, but their new hook is really great I think.

I stand corrected on the year. Should've been obvious. I don't want you to think like me. I just want you to think.
