I don't agree with you about Prince, Stevie or Madonna.
Madonna: I loved Hard Candy. Very good album. Is it a masterpiece, maybe not, but it is a good album.
Stevie: A Time To Love is really good. It's no Songs In The Key of Life, but it is a good album.
Prince: He has released so many good albums since D&P! , TGE, Emancipation, TRC, LotusFlower are all better than D&P. **--••--**--••**--••--**--••**--••--**--••**--••-

They have made ''good'' or ''ok'' albums but none of them compare to their old work.

I hated that album. I just sold some of my cd's for money and I got a 1.02 back for that album. So, pissed. They could have least gave me $2 back for it.

I figured I come in and give BIIM some love. They were one of the last of a dying breed of real singing groups. I hated "I'll Make Love To You" I thought it was a cheap ass attempt to replicate the success of "The End of the Road". I sounds just as sad as the break-up song, End of the Road. Even back then I was buggin telling people "its the same freakin song!" I didn't matter back then. Everyone loved them and whatever they put out.
I blame Babyface and Motown for that move. It gave them another radio smash but I sure didn't contribute its success. I turned my radio off.
This almost reminds me of that Babyface thread where most people were going in on some of Babyface's cornball ballads.
I wish them well though. Oh and Shawn always had the smoother, richer voice than Whineay

Complete bullshit regarding Prince. Ha has released many great albums after D&P. Gold Experience, Emancipaation, Musicology etc.

Characters is at least 10 times better than In Square Circle.

Well that's not exactly a true or a fair comparison seeing as how MJ only released ONE full length studio album after 1995 which was "Invincible". I'm not counting "Blood On The Dancefloor" as it was not a real album. "Invincible" only had one song from that album that was promoted and that MJ actually took part in which was "You Rock My World" which as you said peaked a #10. "Butterflies" peaked at #14 on the hot 100 and #2 on the r&b charts off radio airplay alone. MJ had no involvement with the album after "You Rock My World", so it's not as if MJ kept releasing album after flop album after 1995 lol. He only released one album after 1995 and it sold quite decently.
Anyway, I love Boys II Men but i'm not interested in any anniversary album. I'd prefer a new album with all the original members. I have to say though, I often wonder why Boyz II Men never became as big as say 'Nsync, Backstreet Boys,New Kids On The Block, etc. I have a feeling why but don't want to go down that route right now but I think it's unfair.
They were such a talented group. Those guys could really sing their asses off. For as big as they were, they should have been even bigger if you ask me.
"And When The Groove Is Dead And Gone, You Know That Love Survives, So We Can Rock Forever" RIP MJ
"Baby, that was much too fast"...Goodnight dear sweet Prince. I'll love you always

Right I also think Jungle Fever and Time to Love are solid records.

Why do you think they weren't as big as those other groups? Their singles were certainly more successful. They were bigger than NKOTB in every way you can imagine. As for the other 2, they may beat out BIIM on album sales, but keep in mind those groups' heyday was during the CD-buying boom of the late '90s/early 2000s. I lived through Boyz II Men mania and I think you're underselling it. "Whitney was purely and simply one of a kind." ~ Clive Davis

I agree. I was just saying that, if you're going to single out Stevie's last "great" record, Characters is a much better choice than In Square Circle. "Whitney was purely and simply one of a kind." ~ Clive Davis
