Why Did Michael Jackson Approve Of Madonna X-Rated Lyrics/Image, But Not Prince's?

Everyone knows Michael made some negative comment about "Jack U Off" and so on. But didn't Madonna have a song/album titled Like A Virgin? And he loved Madonna.

Maybe because Madonna was a female I guess. But I never seen Prince put a damn Coke bottle in his mouth as if he was sucking a you know what. But Prince was 10 times more X-rated than Madonna.

Kinda make me think Michael was jealous. But thats another story.

He hated Madonna. He called her heifer multiple times and I remember reading a story where he said she couldn't sing and was basically a talentless hoe.

And I can see why he made a negative comment about Jack U Off. It is sort of a sick song, even though I like it.

I don't think he was jealous, but he kept his eye out for competition. Don't we all?

And I suspect that this will either be a long troll thread or locked by luv4u. I'm going for the latter.

Michael Jackson doesn't talk like that.

And this thread is better than all those "vs" threads.

Yes, Michael Jackson does talk like that. lol Michael was not the shy nice guy you think he was. :lol

And, no, this thread is bound to fail. And you know it. Those vs. threads are fun and not meant to be taken seriously and allow us to discuss the pros and cons of the albums. This is just gonna cause trouble.

MJ probably didn't call Madonna names but he definitely did not approve of her image.

If he hated her and thought she had no talent, how come he wanted to do a song with her in the early 90s? hmmm

Well the toughest I ever seen MJ was at the intro of the "Bad" video.

And this thread can be a cool thread if people stay on topic, and grow up. I'm challenging you guys to keep a clean discussion. And people in those vs threads are starting to take things seriously.Go check it out.

I have no idea. He probably saw an opportunity for a number one song.

hmmm then why did he hang out with her during her "slutty" phase and wanted to do a song with her?

I don't think Michael was as "sweet and innocent" as you people seem to believe lol

That's the toughest you've seen Michael because you only see him in videos and live. Dig a bit deeper.

You're challenging us? Most of your threads take on controversial topics that eventually run wild. I have checked out the vs' threads. Nothing serious is really going on there.

I don't think Michael had a problem with Madonna's sexual image or Prince's sexual image. He wanted to do a song with Prince in 1987 ("Bad") and a song with Madonna in 1991 ("In The Closet") so he obviously wasn't bothered by their sexual image.Who knows, maybe Michael was trying to develop a shocking, provocative image of her own? lol Maybe that's why he wanted to work with them.

That's the only time I've been convinced he had a little "hood" in him. I've seen tons of MJ footage.

No, the topics are controversial when certain people make thm controversial. You guys turned my opinion of an album controversial. You guys turned that Whitney Houston thread controversial. You guys turned that "Ballad Of Dorothy Parker" thread controversial etc... I can go on for days. I barely comment on my own threads, because you guys flip whatever I say.

What did he say about Jack U Off? Remember in the 80s MJ was a strict Jehovahs Witness. He got more relaxed about all that by the 90s.

Prince's lyrics are/were a lot more explicit than Madonna's. She may have shown the world everything except her internal organs, but the content of her music was really soft compared to Prince. The Erotica album is actually really subtle.

“In 1981 Prince had a song about mutual masturbation on his ‘Controversy’ album called ‘Jack U Off’.” Byron goes on to say that Michael made comments and asked questions like “What does that mean, exactly? What kind of person writes a song about that? I mean, that’s so private, isn’t it? Maybe I should write a song about something like that,” Michael said, teasing him. “Can’t you just see that?” Byron said, “no.”

You don't have to be hood to call someone a hoe. lol

Well, you attacked a masterpiece album and made a comment about your friends that some took offense to. Other threads are bait - like.

Wy did he say about Jack U Off? Remember in the 80s MJ was a strict Jehovahs Witness. He got more relaxed about all that by the 90s.

He basically said,

Byron Moore, a former associate of Michael, The Magic and Madness, 1981

“In 1981 Prince had a song about mutual masturbation on his ‘Controversy’ album called ‘Jack U Off’.” Byron goes on to say that Michael made comments and asked questions like “What does that mean, exactly? I'm not saying thatl. I'm saying I never seen him get pissed the fuck off as he did in the "Bad" intro.

So all your "vs" threads are bait threads? And my opinion on a album shouldn't cause hell. The friend thing, people could've easily asked what I meant by that, and I could've explained it. But they attacked me right away.

Michael didn't approve of any of his competitors. According to J. Randy Taraborrelli, he was even threatened by Terrance Trent D'Arby, during his brief stint as a hitmaker in 1988. Michael didn't like anyone who he felt could take attention off of him for even a minute -- but would easily entertain the idea of collaborating with any of his pop rivals for the sake of a big hit.

i heard a rumor that he didn't even want his brothers to succeed lol When Jermaine would release an album,Michael would use his "industry connections" to keep radio stations from playing the singles, lol.

Don't know if this is true or not...

No. Something that's done to purposely provoke a flame war and start a reaction. Not something that can start an argument.

So you basically think every thread I make is to "purposely provoke a flame war"?

Why would I risk getting my account deleted over something like that?

You just posted a bait comment in the "1980's production" thread.

Dude you made the first negative comment! You say the same thing in ll my threads, "bait thread". That shit is annoying, if you think it's a bait thread why comment on it?
