Any Raheem DeVaughn fans? Hello org,
Just got done listening to a few Raheem DeVaughn cuts, and was curious to know if there were any fans (or supporters) of his music? He's definitely one of the most underrated cats in R&B and has been doing his thing for a few years now. It also doesn't hurt that he is a big fan of Prince as well...
Just curious to know if there were any fans...

His debut release, The Love Experience was his best and highly underrated. His second album, Love Behind The Melody was good as well. He lost me after those two. But I admire him as a singer and versatile songwriter.
Check me out and add me on:

Yeah, his 1st joint is definitely underrated.... Believe & You are among my favorite cuts on the LP...However, not really feeling his 2nd release... outside of Desire & Marathon there isn't much for me on there... His more release is pretty solid, but that's my opinion...

I love "You" - which, I'd never heard til I started playing Grand Theft Auto 4. "I don't think you'd do well in captivity." - random person's comment to me the other day

I love Raheem DeVaughn and think he's very talented...I love how distinct his voice is..to me he doesn't really sound like anyone else but himself. His first album is golden With the exception of one skip I can listen to it straight through. However his 2nd album, it took me a while to get into. Seemed like he was moving away from style that made his first album magical IMO. Nevertheless, the 2nd album is not a bad one. The last album I constantly skipped around. I loved "Bulletproof" but after that I was lost. There were way too many interludes and his songs didn't flow well. I hope with the next album he's able to regroup. I'm thinking maybe he's getting caught up in what his vision is as an artist and what his record company expects. Hey, it happens. I only know about his cuts that were released as singles. He's put out some cool tracks. I'm sick and tired of the Prince fans being sick and tired of the Prince fans that are sick and tired!

Saw him at a concert last year in Detroit, and he did a good job covering Adore. But I have to agree he is definitely slept on... peep some of his deeper album cuts, and you'll find yourselves impressed...
