I love treasure hunting at Vinyl stores for Jacksons stuff, I bought tons years ago, like within the last 10 years and some of those places closed down though I would find items and records, but this year I started vinyl hunting again, and some of the stuff I found this year were:
Madonna: Lucky Star, Vogue, Papa Don't Preach (amazing covers, I want to put up Lucky Star, so iconic and I even have a bag with a similar stereo design)
Janet: Rhythm Nation vinyl, Escapade, Alright, Come Back to Me remixes, Come Back to Me (plus I already had 2 other versions, one of which has the Spanish versions, and another that had the two Skin Games), Love Will Never Do Without You, Don't Stand Another Chance, Nasty, When I Think of You. My Janet collection was already big
Michael Jackson/Jacksons: Torture on Vinyl (extended version), Body, Joyful Jukebox Music, You Rock My World feat. Jay Z, We Are The World. I think my collection was already huge anyways, so the other finds this year was stuff I already owned on CD and/or vinyl. However, I would still like to own State of Shock on 45, Say Say Say, the This Time Around vinyl I found 10 years ago that was gone when I went back for it. I don't know if I have Farewell my Summer Love, I thought I did but can't find it. Also, the Jackson 5 CD with Buttercup on it (I was too upset to listen to little michael 2 years ago and didn't buy it despite spending a lot), the Who Is It single without the Oprah beatbox and Beat It (I know someone who has it but I don't want a burned copy), maybe Ghosts though I don't mind if I don't get it since On The Line was released. My friend had the HIStory single back in the 90's but I didn't buy them yet though I wish I did, I can't find it anywhere now, online or in person.
I found a couple of Prince albums I wouldn't mind owning, like I Would Die 4 U with an extended mix, and 1999 just so I could hang up the paint and paper picture when I redecorate
I would like to update my vinyl collection with singles from Human League, Depeche Mode, Yaz and some freestyle music. I do have them on compilations or some on record, but if I could get extended versions on vinyl, that would be awesome. I saw a huge collection of them, but had to restrain myself for the day.
My parents have a huge collection and everytime I go into our storage downstairs I shock myself with what they have. Just last week I realized they have a Rolling Stones song I like and brought it upstairs

We have two record stores in my area (Rasputin and Streetlight Records) and they have all these boxes filled with records that are priced only $1 I spent hours going through those boxes, lol.
The most expensive records were only around $3.99.This is a very cheap hobby! [Edited 7/20/11 5:31am]

I recently bought this record cleaning machine and it works really good.I use it on all the used records that I buy and it makes the record look brand new! How do you guys clean your records?

I use the vacuum type RCM - Record Doctor 1.0 (it's an OEM version of the Nitty Gritty). Works great.
Seems I'm becoming more and more picky about vinyl hauls lately. Consider myself lucky to come out with half a dozen to add to the collection (90 minutes of digging).
Mostly classic rock, r&b, soul (emphasis on early pressings/ select mastering engineers).
Visit the Steve Hoffman forum for info on definative pressings.
My best haul ever was from a retiring accounting guy from columbia house. He would receive promos (white label and gold stamped) from record companies and used them to spec the cost of reproducing the 'record club' version. Hung onto the original, early, first promo pressings a finally put them up for sale privately...
Since I buy for personal enjoyment and not profit I only bought 36 of the 400 or so he had. Great find at $3.50 a pop.

Still dont know what to think of that tune. I like the melody...sometimes it sounds over produced and not produced enough at the same time. Straight Jacket Funk Affair

Alcohol wipes? thanx for the tip... But I thought using alcohol or detergent actually ruined the vinyl??
Anyway, here are my last record purchases:
... I almost stopped buying Cds, I have more than 300 CDs... I just fell in love with the 'vynil' concept : - The 'warm' sound - The large cover art - The experience of enjoying a full album from start to finish without skipping any track (as the artist probably wished) - The 'vinyl' hunt... - Organizing, cleaning them...
I have to fill my new IKEA storage shelf :

^That's the way to go.
I have these two records in my sights right now.
I wouldn't really consider myself a "collector", I just can't find rare albums/remixes online and I have no other choice.
You're so glam, every time I see you I wanna slam!

Great finds. I don't know anything about Eddie Money but everything else is great. The store i go to every now and then for vinyl wants to much for them. I went last week and they still want 4.99 for some and then some of them aren't in great condition. I wouldn't want to pay no more than 2.99 for vinyl. I can understand maybe 4.99 for rare finds. Getting these for 1 dollar is a great deal especially if you can convert them to cd. Don't laugh at my funk

Did you buy that online? That looks like a real vinyl cleaner there dude. I use alcohol and a brush to deep clean my vinyl and it works fairly good. Don't use rubbing alcohol at all. Only isopropyl. Don't laugh at my funk
