The biopics of your dreams?

Who would you have liked to see play your favorite artists?

Personally i would have liked to see Diana Ross play Josephine Baker in the old days, like she talked about doing.

And what about Jennifer Aniston playing Babs? Not sure she reminds me that much of Babs, but i lOVE the pics where she dressed like Streisand

.

I would love to see a Rick james Biopic. I heard there's a Freddie Mercury one in the works as well as Liberace. I just love Biopics!

It would've been a wild biopic. Loretta Devine was supposed to play her story in the mid-90s but for some reason, the script was left to collect dust.

You can take a black guy to Nashville from right out of the cotton fields with bib overalls, and they will call him R&B. You can take a white guy in a pin-stripe suit who’s never seen a cotton field, and they will call him country. ~ O. B. McClinton

I'd take acting classes just so I can audition for a Stevie biopic

I am sure we will get to see all of these biopics made, but I have to imagine the Rick James one to be the funnest one. It's hard to imagine anyone making this one boring.

Yeah but Dave Chappelle made the right move to not do it. It's odd the sketch that made him famous is one of the reasons why he ultimately quit the show and went back underground/or at least as a stand-up.

Sammy Davis Jr.

Tommy Davidson or Eddie Griffin need to play him, either one. Both are spot on.

There needs to be one based on this. The book is HIGHLY exploitative and fabricated (as are most unauthorized bios), but it would make one helluva TV movie.

2 different covers

As for who would play Janet, Keshia Knight Pulliam has always said that she wanted to play her

A quote from Keshia from a couple of years ago: “My dream role is to play Janet Jackson, if she ever does her life story while I’m still alive – and I’m young enough to play her.”

Gabrielle Union is a big fan, but there's not much of a resemblance

Ciara has the dancing skills, but is too tall and lanky

Kat Graham from The Vampire Diaries remade "Love Will Never Do (Without You)" and "Escapade" earlier this year

Bianca Lawson may be a good choice

I can't see anyone doing a movie based off an unauthorized bio, least not on the big screen (remember the TV movie on Madonna that was based on an unauthorized bio? lol). Maybe after Janet finally does touch on life issues in her official bio THEN we can talk about a movie about her life but I can't see that happening. Private as she is lol

lol I can definitely see Debra in a Whitney biopic but then again Whitney's so weird she probably thinks everyone's against her so she won't do it or won't release a biography and probably would sue if someone did a biopic based on that Good Girl/Bad Girl book. lol

The biopic of my dreams came true a few years back when Judy Davis played Judy Garland in "Me and My Shadow: Life With Judy Garland" - from the book written by Garland's daughter, Lorna Luft. It deserved all of the awards it received that year!

Now, the rumor is that Anne Hathaway is set to play Garland. I'm just not sure how I feel about that one... confused
