Good People Here On The Org. I need your suggestions to help me make this decision.
Picture here is my basement with my sound system
As you can see, I'm overflowed with alot of cd's...ALOT!!!
Trust me, there's plenty on the bottom and some on the side of the wall.

Anyway, I use to have family gatherings, from time to time, until sticky fingers occurred, if ya know what I mean?
So I stop having them.
And the good thing is, none of my "Rare & hard-to-find" cd's were never taken
But I'm looking for a new setup....
Looking for cd crates that has lockup settings.
So far I can across this one on Amazon:

It holds up to 660 cd's
But, if you can suggest something better, it would be appreciated

Your collection makes my collection look like a child's dick up next to a great big ole grown black one.
I know what you mean about sticky fingers and CDs. CDs are small enough for a guest to slip in their jacket and if you have a lot of CDs, it may be a long time before you find out that it's missing. I don't worry about my vinyl because it's too big for them to hide, also, most people don't have turntables these days so they wouldn't steal the vinyl.
When I moved last year, I put my vinyl in a bookcase down in my den but I left all my CDs still packed in boxes and they take up an entire closet in my upstairs bedroom. I have all my songs from my CDs that I want, scanned into my computer and my computer is plugged into the stereo so it will play through it's speakers. The bastards can't steal the computer without you noticing, plus you don't have to thumb through all those CDs to find a particular song which takes time. Just type in the song, click the mouse, and shake the walls as well as the asses. And the CDs are all packed up and still available for backup. Andy is a four letter word.

Oh, OK....looking at that picture closer now, I see those are CDs on that back wall. I originally thought it was an entire wall full of vinyl. I was getting jealous. I've got a ton of CDs also but I've never had them displayed like that (I've been scared to display them ). OK, we're pretty close now...I don't feel "vinyl envy" anymore. I've had people steal so many CDs from me that now I immediately dump them on my computer.
I don't have any suggestions but when you inviting me over tim?

A good friend of mine also had a good solution. He had his stereo and all his records and CDs in his bedroom but he had a small hole drilled in the bottom of his bedroom wall so he could stick the speaker wire through it. His speakers were the only thing in the den where his guests were. Unfortunately, he was constantly going back and forth to the bedroom to change the music. Andy is a four letter word.

I have a similar single drawer system that I use when I occasionally take some of my musical jewels out of the house.
It's worked out well for me.

I know how this looks but believe me another album or CD will not go missing.
From the pic you seem to have your music concentrated in a defined space, it can be spray painted to match your décor.

If you can't be nice to someone on the net, you probably ain't worth much talking to in real life either.

Go ahead and laugh, wait till "sticky fingers" left some of funkpill's rare and expensive stuff. Brotha man will be back with a pic of "the gate". It does come fit to size and it's retractable if you don't want it up all the time, I got to the point I kept the gate up.
