Beyonce "Love On Top"...should be a single... :( Seriously what didn't the record see in this becoming a summer jam? All them slow jams they released at a time like this? Not that they are bad but it took long enough for BTINH to take off... What you think? Straight Jacket Funk Affair

Love this song, but it's not commercial enough.

It wouldn't fly on the radio, so I'll just bump it in the shower. 2012: The Queen Returns

I wish but it probably wouldn't. Nice well directed summery video with a story line. Oh well.

It's my fave tune on the record!

Mine too. "When Michael Jackson is just singing and dancing, you just think this is an astonishing talent. And he has had this astounding talent all his life, but we want him to be floored as well. We really don´t like the idea that he could have it all."

Yeah, they really fucked up the single choices on this album. "Love on top" rocks, although "Schoolin' life" and "I care" would be a good choice too.

Is it me or does Party sound a bit like Stevie Wonder's For Your Love? "When Michael Jackson is just singing and dancing, you just think this is an astonishing talent. And he has had this astounding talent all his life, but we want him to be floored as well. We really don´t like the idea that he could have it all."

dag said: Is it me or does Party sound a bit like Stevie Wonder's For Your Love? The bridge kinda has that same melody. "Party" is my second favorite song on her album, but I doubt it will be a single either.

That song is the highlight of the album. It makes me think of 70's, 80's and 90's r&b. Makes me think of the likes of Jackson 5, George Benson and maybe Rick James....and it makes me think of something Mary J. Blige could have done for the My Life album, a track like Be Happy which I know has a sample anyways. The only problem I have with it is that she's oversinging the song instead of just jamming to it. If she sang it pretty the way Janet sings Enjoy or Janelle Monae sings Wondaland, it would have been 5 stars.

Songs like this and "Lay Up Under Me" are more of the direction a woman her age should be going in. Instead, they will pimp her anthem songs and anger songs because that is her image.

i would like "Countdown" to be the next single. yes SIR!

Great great tune. Apparently they want a lot of videos for the album, and Beyonce says she loves to do videos anyway. Should definitely be a single.

Musically it reminds me of SWV's "That's What I Need" too. Especially the beat track. [Edited 7/19/11 13:44pm]

Not single material at all. Top 40 radio wouldn't touch it. The only place it might kinda/sorta fly at would be urban AC.

That would just be another flop.

Bad decision to get rid of him. This cd is going to flop big time.... will ALWAYS think of like a "ACT OF GOD"! N another realm. mean of all people who might of been aliens or angels.if found out that wasn't of this earth, would not have been that surprised. R.I.P.

Yep, any fool would've known that End of Time should've been the first single.

"Love On Top" ends kinda funny though. Ending with the key modulating higher and higher then fading. I don't know if singles even have a fade on the end anymore.

This song is quickly becoming one of my favorites on the CD. I'd rather this not be a single though because if it's a single, it will become popular. If it becomes popular, then B will make a video. If she makes a video, there's a 50% chance that it will ruin the song for me. I literally cannot listen to Best Thing I Never Had anymore, and I really liked that song
I would like to see a video for Countdown though, the beat kinda reminds me of somethings Jay-Z would use. time flies.

The stan should just put her 1984 home video of jammimg to MJ into the video if she makes it
