I have to say one of the greatest R&B singers I've heard. This is my favorite solo CD of his. Anyone else like this CD? Here are a couple of cuts from the 1994 CD:

I Commit to Love is my favorite Howard Hewett. One of the best voices from the 80's from one of the best groups from the 80's.

Howard Hewett is one of my very favorite singers!! Got much love for him!! I think the last cd i got by him was 2007's "If Only..." which is as good as his earlier stuff. "Enough" and "Can You Feel Me" are standouts on that cd. I've seen him a few times in the last several years. Would love to see him get more play. He still has an amazing voice!!

I agree NPS. His voice is so unique. I saw him once here in NY and he was great. I also got the live dvd. That's a good one if anyone is interested it's on amazon.com

I wish there was a boot of Howard's live shows in support of this album. On a few nights he'd open with Prince's "Jam Of The Year"!

Thanks for posting - I was a huge Shalamar fan back in the day.

Probably, criminally and a bit of stubbornness at not accepting the change of Shalamar line up in the late 80s, I ignored Howard's solo stuff.

I'm gonna go check this out now.
