You think she's ugly? lol

Mostly I jsut think she doesn't look like the same person. But I definitely find younger Sinead more attractive.

I think she does look the same, just older and heavier. I could still recognize her.

If I didn't know what she looks like now I'm pretty sure she could have walked right by me. I bet she could do that a lot of places in America, actually. The lightbulb might click on if she spoke - her voice is pretty clearly hers, even when she's speaking.

Thing is she may have changed a lot physically but vocally that's still the same Sinead. Least her voice didn't crack over the years. I always loved her tone.

I absolutely LOVE her voice and all the different ways she uses it. I especially love that she can go from a beautiful quiet whisper to doing her crazy power yell lol and it all works together somehow. I also really dig that strange inflection she does when she's emoting angry sarcasm. 'Just Like You Said It Would B' has great examples of both of those. I actually listened to about 20 songs today after I posted on this thread earlier. nod

I'd be interested to hear her new songs. Funny, I've never really gotten into her when I was young. I loved Nothing Compares 2 U but wasn't a fan back then - guess her music wan't my thing at the time. Now I'm here listening to her other songs besides NC2U and I like it, first time I actually heard any of it. I know... it's kind of backwards and only discover things when I'm ready for it.

Sinead looks better with some weight on.

There, I said it! All haters can piss off. mr.green

Really? I mean... really?

1989 = cute face, but skinny body.

2010 = normal body weight percentage for a mother of 4; a celebrity that looks like a real woman.

We'll have to agree to disagree on this one. Her appearance makes no difference to me when I'm listening to her voice, anyway.

Interesting.

...and to think, when I was a young girl in college I dated a bass player who was obsessed with this woman, and upon our break up told me that I didn't have qualities similar enough to hers. It was his dream to marry Sinead O'Connor because she was so incredibly beautiful, and wise, and mature, and she was a wellspring of creation blahblah .I remember when he moved to LA as a session musician hoping he'd be able to weasel his way into her circle. I love Sinead's music, and I'm sorry for her difficulties, but as for "Paul" (we'll just call him that)...

I Want Your (Hands On Me) was my jam. I always liked her voice. Maybe I'll get the greatest hits.

I just realized, she's probably on meds and the puffiness to her face might be due to that. Still don't think she's fat though.
