Black eyed peas Taking a Break In what will undoubtedly come as a shock to nobody many, pop supergroup Black Eyed Peas are taking an ‘indefinite hiatus from working together’, according to lead singer Fergie. The announcement comes on the heels of two successful albums, world tours, and a slew of hit singles. However, the ‘London Bridges’ singer was sure to emphasize that the break was not permanent stating, “We’re going to be taking a break just like we did after we released Monkey Business in 2005 until we came back in 2009…This isn’t going to be the last time you’ll see us.” The group is currently in the middle of their aptly titled ‘The E.N.D.” tour.

I like their 2009 album 'The E.N.D.' but the latest album 'The Beginning' wasn't very good.I mean, there are some great beats and hooks, but it falls flat compared to the previous album.

I'm thinking the hiatus is for her to have some babies.

They were cool at first but they really started getting annoying after this last album. They should have taken a longer break in between "The End" and the latest album they released. I don't care to see them for at least two years.

You must mean pre-Fergie cuz ain't shit been cool about them since they brought that heffa on.
Back when they actually rhymed, danced and used live musicians

^^^You forgot about the A.T.B.A.N. Klann. You can take a black guy to Nashville from right out of the cotton fields with bib overalls, and they will call him R&B. You can take a white guy in a pin-stripe suit who’s never seen a cotton field, and they will call him country. ~ O. B. McClinton

Just when I was warming up to their party-focused, unabashedly gimmicky, sample thieving, beat-driven, devolving music!

Here's another Kim era track. You can take a black guy to Nashville from right out of the cotton fields with bib overalls, and they will call him R&B. You can take a white guy in a pin-stripe suit who’s never seen a cotton field, and they will call him country. ~ O. B. McClinton

'The E.N.D.' is excellent.I fell in love with songs like "Rock That Body","Meet Me Halfway" and "I Gotta Feeling".The follow-up 'The Beginning' was sorta disappointing. The songs are cool, but there's nothing that really grabs me the way that the songs on 'The END' did. They should have taken more time with that album. It needed stronger tracks. The first single "The Time (Dirty Bit)" was lazy and uninspired.

I think its safe to say BEP hasnt been good since Fergie joined (Not saying its the cause, but it is true). The first 3 albums were good, and they actaully rapped instead of the crazed Will repeating one line over and over again.
