I think we should request an Unsung sticky so we could discuss what we like/dislike about that week's episode plus learn about what wasn't covered. Another thing, we should vote which season was the best . I'm not up to date on this season but of the ones I've seen my top five are...
1. DeBarge
2. Tammi Terrell
3. Teddy
4. Donny
5. Musical Youth [Edited 7/11/11 17:32pm] [Edited 7/11/11 17:33pm] Jeux Sans Frontiers

I watched it. What I learned:
-It was sad that she suffered the loss of her baby.
-She can still sang, still has a strong voice.
-That the spandex outfit she had on during the concert clips was horrendous.
-Weave really does work wonders for women, she looks better now than in her younger years. Just a few pounds heavier, but not a biggie.
That.is.all. I will forever love and miss you...my sweet Prince.

I saw you dawg. You more of a celebrity up in here now than before. I dug Evelyn's episode. She's had some great songs. I've had the pleasure of seeing Evelyn in concert back in 84 with the Barkays and Kool & the Gang. Don't laugh at my funk
This funk is a serious joint

Every time my uncle sees me, he reminds me of how I was an infant and he would feed me ketchup and chips while watching Love Come Down on TV and me enjoying the song

LOVE ME some E.C.K.!!! One of my all-time female idols! Here's sumpthin' 4 ya though: One her "Music Box" album, why is "Steppin' Out" literally SPLIT in half? Why or HOW didn't somebody join the two pieces of that song to make it one complete JAM?! On the vinyl, Side One fades OUT with it and Side Two, fades IN with Part Two. Together, they make for a 9:25-long Funk romp! It looks 2b the same way on the newly remastered/reissued version from Funkytown Grooves. My other 1/2 joined the two for me to burn me a CD of my favorite joints, and he's amateur, so how is it that the pro's couldn't figure it out or notice the issue while purveying the master tapes? Hmmmm...too tired 2 think much more on it. Long day. Beddy-bye. Sweet and soulful dreams, every-1. Nite. Hungry? Just look in the mirror and get fed up.

Saw it on the internet... The best thing is that Evie King has a happy ending to her story...unlike a lot of them! You go guurrrl! "Music gives a soul to the universe, wings to the mind, flight to the imagination and life to everything." --Plato

^^I remember an interview where she talked about the "Champagne" being dropped from her name. She said it was the record company's idea....they thought that her nickname sounded childish."I asked them,is champagne something that kids drink?",she said

I really enjoyed this episode. I wonder why she doesn't do any old school tours, because I would love to see her. She would be great with Stephanie Mills or Chaka Khan. I'M NOT SHOUTING, JEEZ!

I agree this was one of the better ones. I wish she would put out a new upbeat danceable album. I love that woman. She is so talented and underrated.
