I hope Madonna is taking some notes. Pop doesn't have to be pretenious!

If anyone finds this track available somewhere, please let me know where you find it. It is supposedly released as of 6.13.11, but I don't see it anywhere yet. Maybe the release date got pushed back. Thanks.

Two days ago, she addressed the delay via Twitter and promised the EP is coming soon to iTunes.

We Meet The New Queen Of The DanceFloor

July 13, 2011

Ever since we first hear Ronika's tunes at the start of this year we've been sold on her glam disco style. She reminds us of all the Scandanavian pop we love (Roby, Annie) but comes from Nottingham. We tracked her down and sent her a list of questions to answer. This is how she responded.

PopDash: How would you describe your music to a Ronika virgin?

Ronika: Pop music inspired by disco, electro-soul, early house and old-school hip hop.

PopDash: Where abouts do you hail from? And what is the best thing about it?

R: I’m from Nottingham - paradise city where the grass is grey and the pigeons are pretty. Best thing about Nottingham is there is an amazing music scene here.

PopDash: What is the one song that will always make you feel like dancing?

R: Madonna - Holiday

PopDash: We love your song 'Wiyoo', can you tell us a little bit about it?

R: Thank you! Wiyoo is feel-good disco escapism that I made in my bedroom in the middle of a dark winter. I was listening to lots of Studio 54-era disco to compensate for the lack of daylight.

PopDash: Which famous person would you most like to discover is a fan of your music?

R: I have a lot of musical heroes but maybe Prince or Beyonce.

PopDash: If we made you the President of Music (We have this power) what would be the first law you would pass?

R: Every track must have a hand clap.

PopDash: And how would you punish people who download your music for free?

R: I wouldn’t punish them but I’d thank the people who had bought it and supported me. A subtle guilt trip is always better.

PopDash: What is next for Ronika?

R: World abomination. And my next EP is coming out in September which so expect big pop tunes sucked-up in a disco/house vacuum.

Thanks for posting. Her music doesn't really remind me of Madonna though, although her look does. I think the song is okay, but not amazing. The production is a little gimmicky for my taste. With her white girl rapping, she reminds me more of Blondie than Madonna.
