Nice job. & He's good looking too. Prince did an interview with a woman at Record World. They talked about whatever, then he asked her: "Does your pubic hair go up to your navel?" At that moment, we thought maybe we shouldn't encourage him to do interviews. | |

Again, thanks for being honest! Personally, I love the record (not because of him being a friend) and I think the song suits his voice. I think his version has a little more bounce to it | |

I think the mix is great. Maybe even better than the original, but this may be due to improved recording processes. Technically it's very accurate. But there lies the probelm, it Steph Jones doing Pop Life by Prince. Not Steph Jones doing Pop Life. Many artist copy an orginal to a t. So much that they don't add their personality to it. Nix his vocals an you have a great Pop Life karoke track. I admire his courage and wish him the best. | |

That's my exact thought. I do love Prince's version but I think Prince's version lacks the bounce that Steph's version has. Thanks for your opinion! | |

Its pretty good. However he sounds a bit stiff throughout and should try to loosen up his vocals as he did at 1:52 - 2:00 to make it more of his interpretation of the song. Also I like the ending however at 3:00 it should go straight to 3:10 and get rid of the scratching and backwards sounds as it sounds like a recording mistake. Good luck The greatest live performer of our times was is and always will be Prince.

Damn, really surprised about the change at 3:50...love it! Brings it to another level.
His voice is very smooth, really nice to listen to, but maybe he could bring in a little bit more emotion to it.

The real reason I can't get into it is because it sounds like he was trying to do what hip-hop producers Zo and Nicolay are doing with their covers of songs. When it changes up, that's when it REALLY falls flat. But it was actually flat all the way around to me. | |
