Teena Marie - Behind The Groove (The Missing M+M 12in Remix) Did anyone get a chance to pick up the reissue of Teena Marie's Lady T album? I haven't had a chance to listen to the album. When I put it in, I immediately went to the bonus content. I just discovered one of the best unreleased remixes ever. You should grab this ASAP!

on the 'Lady T' remaster,I especially like the Rick James mix of "Behind The Groove".

It looks like Teena's legacy is not going to be lost like other R&B superstars, That are always forgotten after they went on to another life....

I wish John Morales had also remixed "I Need Your Lovin' " for the remaster... 4 versions of "Behind The Groove" (though I love the track) is a bit much... But thus remix is excellent! Just like the white winged dove... |

Yeah, that's one of the reasons why I skipped the "Lady T" remaster. I would have preferred some demo versions of the other songs instead. "It's not nice to fuck with K.B.! All you haters will see!" - Kitbradley

I liked the other remixes on the reissue, but this one takes the song to another level for me.

It has to be mixes of her vocals that weren't used before in there. Because I have followed her vocal layering on most of her albums,particularly the Motown years albums, especially this one and never heard some of the lead vocal & layering. Which I am really into. She is one of if not the best at vocal arrangements next to Prince. She is very underated at it. I wish Prince would go in his vault and release alternative mixes of his well known songs.
