He was signed to footballer Kevin Campbell's "2 Wikid" label in 2003. In 2007 he featured on Cassidy's single "Innocent Man (Misunderstood)" from his B.A.R.S. The Barry Adrian Reese Story album. The track sampled Morrison's lyrics from his song, "Innocent Man". It was produced by Swizz Beatz, and charted highly on Billboard's Bubbling Under Singles chart.

In 2008 he stated that he would never return to his home town of Leicester because the city had shown him "nothing but contempt", also calling himself "The Beatles Of That City".

In 2008, Morrison announced the release of a "best of" compilation, "King of British R&B: The Best Of.. Mark Morrison", although it remains unreleased.

In 2010 a new album was announced, "I Am What I Am", to be preceded by a single, "B'Day" featuring platinum recording artist Trina in 2011.The first track from the album to leak online was entitled "Father Forgive Them", and featured rapper Crooked I of Slaughterhouse, the Supergroup signed to Eminem's Shady Records.

On Friday 13th May 2011, "IAMWHATIAM" (single) was leaked, in full. It states that it will be the first single from "I Am What I Am"

he is/was the biggest ASSHOLE ever, i was forced to see him and his lame dancers perform at a SummerJam at Radio City Music Hall back in 1995? if i remember correct, the only reason i was going was to see SEXY girl group SHADES who were squeezed into this lineup that was headlined by the king of crying and whining Keith Sweat. Mark was booed off the stage, mainly because NO ONE was singing along to other songs that no one knew or cared about, no one was dancing to his shit, so what did he do, cursed at the audience, SMART move, he was gone in minutes.

That's too bad how that went. Cool that you could watch those beautiful Shades perform, even though mixed in between 2 other shows.
